Municipal Technical Advisory Group

A Municipal Technical Advisory Group (MTAG) has also been set up to address local planning and technical issues. Planning and public works staff from the upper and lower tier municipalities in and around the preliminary study area are represented.


MTAG / RAAG Modelling and Demand Forecasting Information Session (March 4, 2008)


A third joint MTAG / RAAG meeting was held on March 4th, 2008 and was a Modelling and Demand Forecasting Information Session. The purpose of the meeting was to present and discuss the following:

• The process for identifying the existing and future transportation problems and opportunities in the Niagara to GTA Corridor;
• The principles of modelling and forecasting; and,
• The Greater Golden Horseshoe Model and the Strategic Demand Forecasting Approach.
