Inter-ministerial Information Session for Economic and Business Focused Ministries (April 23, 2008)

Economic and business focused ministries participated in an information session on both the NGTA and GTA-West EA studies on April 23, 2008. The purpose of the session was to seek comments and input on the research and consultation work that is currently underway in regards to the economic aspects of these projects. The following was presented at the session:

• An overview of the NGTA and GTA-West projects;
• Progress-to-date; and,
• A summary of the economic conditions and challenges, and how they relate to the future transportation network, including:
  
  
  • Economic-related policies
  • Studies, data and future projections
  • Stakeholder consultation
